I need affiliates for Banish the Blahs and Be Happy! It's a great little book of 28 ideas for beating the blues. Kate Loving Shenk, Buz McGuire, Todd Silva, and lots of other folks you know from the PEU are contributors to the book. There is lots of wisdom there!

Hello, Joan. Thanks for introducing yourself. I just read your note asking if anyone beyond the HFS group would be interested in your daughter's story. I've been a professional writer for more than 20 yeas (actually more than 30, but saying 20 makes me sound younger!) If you would tell your daughter's story from a personal perspective, telling how you felt as a mother struggling to find help for your daughter, how this struggle affected the family, how you overcame obstacles and what good benefits ultimately came from this struggle, your story would have universal interest. Everyone experiences challenges and obstacles in their lives. Reading about how other people have dealt with trouble, overcome obstacles and found meaning in the process is one of the chief ways we, as human beings, learn to handle our own problems. If you look at women's magazines like Redbook, you see that the story of a mother's struggle is a regular feature. In fact, you might consider sending a query to Redbook. If they accept your query, they will assign a staff writer to help you write your story. You can find information on how to query Redbook in the Writer's Guide, available at an library. The Guide will have an entire section of women's magazines. Check them all. Also, Redbook may have it's writer's guidelines on-line. The guidelines will tell you how they like to be queried.
Good luck!

I just realized I have another story to tell -- our beautiful daughter was afflicted with hemifacial spasm for 10 years before we found help for her in Pittsburgh with Dr. Peter Janetta. Now she has her old smile, and no side effects except some loss of hearing. HFS has a wonderful website and her story is there, but look at her before and after pics and tell me if you think that would be of interest to anybody not in the HFS group. hmmmmmmm

An introduction of sorts - I have always wanted to write -- published one little devotional for Upper Room back in the early 80's. I have much to say at this point -- I am a senior, and really want to share my life lessons, and I want my children to know all of the things I have learned over the years. Our daughter was married in August of this year, and we had a big big wedding and a great party afterward, so we are still in after-wedding mode. Our son and his wife have two adorable little redheads, and they live right down the street, so we dote on them constantly. They are 4 and 5 years old. and they keep us young! Our grandson is athletic like his dad and granddad, and our granddaughter is quiet and artistic like her mom. We have such a wonderful time with them. Went with them to the county fair tonight. Watching little ones giggle on the rides is good medicine for anybody!!!! They laughed and laughed, and of course, we did too!

Does the ebook product solve an important need or want that people have? Does it provide a much needed solution to a hungry target market?

Wait a minute... !! Hold the presses!! A legally BLIND man playing golf???
That would be amazing to see how a Legally Blind husband can play golf... THAT would be interesting to Golf lovers!

Usually you need to see far distances well to target the holes.

Now, how about an ebook "How to Play Golf, even if you are legally blind!!!" Tips and tricks to playing the game you love...

That would get some golfers attentions! Legally Blind? Play golf? Is this man for real?? How does he do it?

I am sure there are some golfers out there who want to play golf, but don't because of their legal blindness handicap.

I can just see the shocked look on Tiger Woods face as he watches a legally blind man beat him in a game of golf! : )
