A fellow nurse entrepreneur contacted me today and offerred
to JV with me.

I have an ebook and so does she with an accompanying CD.

my list isn't very big.

shall i create a free book to get people to opt in to my list in exchange for the book?

I am in the process of creating a free book anyway, so this is one good way to use it.

any suggestions?

That is the way I am understanding, Kate. Which means to me, that in the beginning, one needs to create two books. a freebie and one to sell. and there is a time lag between the two, I would think. I am re-reading Pat's book and trying to clarify steps for doing this. I have more ideas than product at this point!! :)

Kate, a free ebook can be one good way to get information about your web site and products out into the world. It works well, over time, to attract new subscribers. But since you and your fellow nurse already have products (you an ebook and she a book and CD) a faster way to begin marketing is for the two of you to combine your resources and efforts by blogging and hitting forums.

Information written into blogs is indexed by search engines almost instantly. In fact, the information you write into JV Gold gets into Google far faster than anything you would put into a web site. That means a great FAST beginning to your book marketing is right in front of you. Start here by writing the title and topic of your book, information on where it's available for purchase and some sales copy. It would also be good to set up your own blog. You and your fellow nurse could share duties, each of you posting every other day to keep news spinning out into the internet.

After that, the next best thing to do is start hitting forums. Start searching the internet for forums where people talk about the subject of your book. Sign into the forums, create a signature that is sales copy for your book, and start posting.Again, if you and your friend split this duty, you'll get the word out faster and in more forums.

When you don't have a big list, forum marketing is perhaps the fastest and easiest way to drive sales--and you'll build your list at the same time.

Just wanted to update you on my progress with your suggestions you made in your very generous post.

A friend created a natural healing Ning and she and I persuaded my potential JV partner to join and create Interactive Blogs, as I now call it!!!!!

Everyone over on that site can participate!!!

And this model can be followed on all the nings--perfect place to "do"
interactive blogging, thus driving traffic to respective businesses.

Hi, Kate. What a good idea to form a ning on natural healing! I'm part of a ning that's almost entirely women and several of them are very involved with holistic health. I think that once you've joined any ning, there's a way to connect to others within the system, but I haven't worked it out yet, so I'll just invite you to use the URL, go to the home page and register. there are so many free e-books to give away, with great content. Public Domain books are great gifts, just type in Public Domain E-books on Google and a long list will appear, Guitenberg Press has a lot of books, I don't think I spelled it correctly. It is on Google. The Law of Attraction, and Manifestation Keys are 2 e-books you can purchase from me at $10.00 each, great books. I do accept paypal under email [e-mail]
